Vinted announces a €128 million fundraising campaign led by a new investor, Lightspeed Venture Partners, with the participation of long-standing investors such as Sprints Capital, Insight Venture Partners, Accel and Burda Principal Investments. On this occasion, the company became the first Lithuanian unicorn.
While traditional players in the ready-to-wear sector have been facing a declining market for more than ten years, a segment driven by the advent of e-commerce continues to grow: the second-hand segment. The Lithuanian startup Vinted has established itself in France, to the point that the brand ranks tenth among the most visited e-commerce sites in the 2nd quarter, according to the Fevad/Mediamétrie ranking.
